Common Questions
Clear answers about tree service.
If your question is not covered here, contact us and tell us about the tree, property and work you are considering.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for residential and commercial tree work. We inspect each project in person so the tree size and condition, surrounding structures, property access, equipment requirements and site-specific safety considerations can be properly assessed.
Photos are welcome when you first reach out, but every project requires an on-site walkthrough before an estimate is provided.
What areas do you service?
Speedline is based in Barrie, Ontario and provides tree care throughout Barrie and surrounding communities. Our regular service area extends approximately 100 kilometres from Barrie.
For larger, specialized or suitable projects, we may travel beyond the standard service area depending on the size and scope of the job.
Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?
Yes. We provide tree services for residential and commercial properties throughout Barrie and the surrounding area, from individual trees on private properties to larger projects involving businesses, rental properties, multi-unit buildings, construction sites and other commercial locations.
Can I send pictures for an estimate?
Yes. Photos help us understand the tree, location, surrounding structures, access and general scope of the project.
However, photos alone cannot be used to provide the final estimate. Every project requires an on-site walkthrough and assessment before pricing is finalized.
Do you remove the branches and debris?
Yes. Cleanup is included with our tree services according to the agreed project scope. We gather branches, brush and other debris generated during the work and leave the work area neat and orderly.
The exact handling of wood and larger debris is discussed during the estimate so you know what is included before work begins.
Do you grind the stump after removing a tree?
Stump grinding can be arranged through one of our trusted local stump-grinding partners. The grinding work is not performed directly by the Speedline crew, and pricing and arrangements are handled separately with that provider.
Can you remove trees close to houses or buildings?
Yes. Trees near homes, garages, sheds, fences, driveways and other structures are assessed carefully before work begins. The removal approach is planned around the tree condition, location, obstacles, access and safe areas for bringing material down.
Do you remove dangerous or storm-damaged trees?
Yes. We handle hazardous and storm-damaged tree removal. Storm damage can create unpredictable conditions, so each situation is assessed around the tree, surrounding structures, accessibility and other hazards.
If power lines are involved, stay clear and contact the appropriate utility provider before approaching the tree.
How quickly can you come out?
Scheduling depends on the type of work, size and complexity of the project, current demand, weather conditions and crew availability. Storm damage and urgent tree situations may be prioritized when possible.
Do I need a permit to remove my tree?
Tree-removal requirements vary by municipality, property and local regulations. The property owner is responsible for confirming whether a permit or approval is required before work begins. Check with your local municipality if you are unsure.
What happens during an estimate?
We walk the property with you, assess the tree or trees, discuss what you would like done and review surrounding structures, access, equipment requirements and potential site hazards.
We then explain the recommended scope of work and provide pricing for the agreed work. Every estimate includes an on-site walkthrough.
